Manfred Schiebel

Manfred Schiebel was born in 1969 in Vienna. At the age of seven, he started to join the "Mozart-Sängerknaben, Vienna", where his first music lessons began. Piano studies with Prof. Thomas Kreuzberger, as well as studies for conducting at the "Hochschule füer Musik" in Vienna with Prof. Karl Oesterreicher, studies for accompanating with Dr. Harald Goertz.

Since 01st of September 2017 Manfred Schiebel is University Professor (MUK).

Since 1991 he has been teaching at the conservatory of Vienna and he has repeatedly worked with famous artists as Edita Gruberova, Franco Bonisolli, Walter Fink, Miroslav & Peter Dvorsky, Hilda de Groote, Joseph Hopferwieser, and many others. He also accompanated many masterclasses and worked with famous singing-teachers as Martha Eggerth, Jewgenij Nesterenko, Walter Berry, Hilde Zadek, and others.

Since 1990, accompanist and 2nd choir director at the "Vienna Male Singing Society" and since 1994 also at the Choral-Union "Young-Vienna", whose art director he became 1997.

His extensive repertoire, reaching from the classical song and oratorio via opera to operetta and musical, but also including the Viennese art and Austrian folk music, makes him  a much sought-after accompanist. Since he was the musical director of the Nestroy-Festival at Burg Liechtenstein with KSCH Elfriede Ott in 1993, he has been dealing with theater music and chansons more intensively.

Concerts, CD-recordings as choir director and organist, as well as appearances on TV in several continents are rounding off his activities as pianist and conductor.
